On November 20, 1947, Joe Walsh was born in Kansas City, Missouri. When he was just eight years old, he started playing the guitar. Additionally, while he was a senior in high school, he began playing in local bands.
Walsh relocated to New York City in 1965. He performed here with the James Gang, a rock group. The trio issued several albums, including the live albums Bang (1973) and Walk Away (1972), both of which achieved gold sales.
